UCO Bank Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
- A Graduate degree from a University/Institute recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- The candidate must have completed graduation, and hold mark sheets and a provisional/final degree certificate for graduation issued on or after 01.04.2022.
- Where CGPA/OGPA is awarded, it should be converted to percentage. Percentage must be entered to two decimal places.

Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1962 to settle permanently
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam to settle permanently in India
Candidates in categories 2 to 5 need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- The candidate must not have undergone or be undergoing apprenticeship with UCO Bank or any other organization. Apprentices terminated by their organization are not eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after completing their qualification are not eligible.
- Ex-servicemen cannot be engaged as apprentices, and there is no reservation for them.
- Candidates must be proficient in at least one local language of the State/UT they apply for (reading, writing, speaking and understanding).
Local Language Test
A local language test is held during document verification. Candidates who have studied the local language in Class 10 or 12 and can show the mark sheet/certificate are exempt from this test. Candidates who fail it will not be engaged.

Apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits. PF, ESI and bonus do not apply. Training hours are the same as those of the Bank’s clerical staff. Transport, hostel or accommodation is not provided.

- The merit list is State-wise and category-wise, in descending order of marks.
- Ties are broken by age, with the older candidate ranked higher.
