Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-11 of the Pay Matrix, with a pay range of ₹38,500 to ₹1,22,700.
Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Candidates must have:
- Graduation.
- Three years’ experience as Steno-typist, Judgment Writer or Stenographer in any government office or reputed organisation.
- English Stenography speed of 100 W.P.M.
- English typing speed of 50 W.P.M. on computers.
- Candidates must accurately transcribe the dictated matter within the prescribed time.
Only 10% mistakes are allowed in transcription and the typing test. Candidates committing more than 10% mistakes will be declared unqualified.
Age Limit
The age of candidates will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.

Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted on the basis of a competitive examination as per Schedule-IV (Part-H) of the Himachal Pradesh High Court Officers and the Members of Staff (Recruitment, Promotion, Conditions of Service, Conduct & Appeal) Rules, 2015.
The prescribed stenography and typing requirements will also be tested.
