Uttarakhand Technician Grade-II Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 42 years
- Candidates must be born after 01 July 2008 and not before 02 July 1984.
Age relaxation (as per Uttarakhand government rules):
- Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC: 5 years
- Uttarakhand Divyang candidates: 10 years
- Dependents of Uttarakhand freedom fighters: 5 years
- Ex-servicemen of Uttarakhand: the period of service is deducted from actual age. The result must not exceed the maximum age by more than 3 years.
Salary
Selected candidates will be paid in Pay Level-04: Rs. 27,200 – Rs. 86,100, plus the usual allowances. The PTCUL post is permanent. The UJVNL posts are permanent and EPF-covered.
Eligibility to Apply (Domicile / Residence Conditions)
For Group ‘C’ direct recruitment, a candidate must meet at least one of these conditions:
- Be registered with an employment office (Sewayojan Karyalay) in Uttarakhand by the last date of application.
- Hold a domicile/permanent residence certificate of Uttarakhand.
- Have passed High School and Intermediate (or equivalent) from recognised institutions located in Uttarakhand.
Certain other groups are also eligible. These include state or central government employees and PSU employees posted in Uttarakhand (and their spouses and children), and permanent residents of Uttarakhand living outside the state for work or study (and their spouses and children).
Note for Himachal Pradesh readers: the notice links eligibility to Uttarakhand. Reservation benefits are available only to Uttarakhand residents. Read the notification carefully before applying.
Other conditions: the candidate must be an Indian citizen (or fall in the categories of Tibetan refugees or persons of Indian origin, who need an eligibility certificate). Candidates must be of good character and physically fit. A male candidate with more than one living wife, or a woman married to a man with a living wife, is not eligible.

Payment can be made only online through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. An application with unpaid or short fees is automatically rejected.
Selection Process for Uttarakhand Technician Grade-II Recruitment 2026
- Written exam: an offline, objective-type multiple-choice exam with 100 marks and a duration of 2 hours. Questions relate to the educational qualification of the post. The syllabus is given in Appendix-1 of the official notification.
- Document verification: reservation, education and experience claims are checked.
- Merit list and post allotment: the merit list is based on written exam marks. Posts and departments are allotted by merit and candidate preference. A tie is decided by age (older candidate first), then by English alphabetical order.
Exam rules
- The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for UR, EWS and OBC candidates, and 35% for SC/ST.
- There is 1/4 negative marking for each wrong answer. A question with more than one answer marked is treated as wrong. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.
- The OMR sheet comes in three copies. The candidate keeps the third copy and takes the question booklet home.
- Use of whitener or cutting on the OMR sheet is not allowed.

- Visit www.sssc.uk.gov.in and open the application link for Advertisement No. 83/2026.
- Step 1: Register using your Aadhaar number, your own mobile number and email ID, and fill in your personal details. The name, father’s name and date of birth must match your High School certificate.
- Step 2: Fill in your educational and other details. Choose your category and any horizontal reservation.
- Step 3: Upload your live photo (captured by webcam) and your signature and left thumb impression. Signature and thumb impression must be 150 × 100 px in JPG/JPEG format.
- Step 4: Upload documents: High School certificate, both sides of Aadhaar, category/reservation certificates and the experience certificate.
- Step 5: Pay the fee online, click the final Submit button, and print the application. The status must show “Completed”. Save your registration number.
