UIIC AO Vacancy 2026

A total of 225 Administrative Officer vacancies have been announced. Out of these, 200 vacancies are for Administrative Officer – Generalists, while 25 vacancies are for Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers. The notification also provides category-wise reservation and horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

UIIC AO Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification

For Generalist posts, candidates should have a Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, including fields such as Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture and Data Science. Candidates need at least 60% marks, while the minimum is 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

For Hindi Officer posts, the qualification is more specific. Candidates need a relevant Master’s Degree involving Hindi and English as prescribed in the notification, with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). The qualification must have been completed by 30 June 2026. Working knowledge of computers is also mandatory.

Age Limit

The age of the applicant should be between 21 and 30 years as on 30 June 2026. In other words, the candidate should have been born between 30 June 1996 and 30 June 2005, both dates inclusive.

Age relaxation is available for eligible reserved and other categories. SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC (NCL) candidates 3 years, PwBD candidates 10 years, and certain other categories have relaxation as specified in the notification.

UIIC AO Recruitment 2026 – Application Fee

Candidates other than SC, ST, PwBD and permanent UIIC employees have to pay ₹1,000 application fee including service charges + GST as applicable.

For SC/ST/PwBD candidates and permanent employees of UIIC, the application fee is Nil, but ₹250 service charges + GST as applicable are payable. The fee once paid is non-refundable.

UIIC AO Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

The selection process includes Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Descriptive Test and Interview.

The Preliminary Examination carries 100 marks and includes English Language, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, with a total duration of 60 minutes. Candidates qualifying in Tier-I are shortlisted for the Main Examination.

For Generalists, the Main Objective Test carries 250 marks, followed by a 30-mark English Descriptive Test. For Hindi Officers, the Main Objective Test carries 200 marks, followed by a 50-mark Descriptive Test covering English and Hindi language skills.

For the final merit list, Main Examination and Interview marks are considered in the ratio of 75:25. Preliminary Examination marks are not counted in the final merit.

There is also a one-fourth negative marking for every wrong answer in the objective examinations.

UIIC AO Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be appointed as Administrative Officer (Scale-I). The basic pay scale is ₹82,485–4,050(14)–₹1,39,185–4,390(4)–₹1,56,745, along with admissible allowances and benefits.

The notification mentions an approximate gross salary of ₹1,10,000 per month at metropolitan centres. Other benefits include Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, NPS and leased accommodation as per company rules.
