SSC CHSL Vacancy 2026
The Commission has announced approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies. The number is not final at this stage and may be updated later after the concerned departments complete their vacancy-related process. Updated post-wise and category-wise vacancies will be made available through the SSC website.

Educational Qualification
For LDC/JSA and most DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts, candidates must have passed 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
There is a specific qualification requirement for DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture. For these posts, candidates must have passed 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
Candidates who are appearing for their 12th examination can also apply, but they must possess the required qualification by 7 October 2026.
Age Limit
The age limit for SSC CHSL 2026 is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2026.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2026
The SSC CHSL selection process mainly consists of Tier-I and Tier-II Computer Based Examinations.
Tier-I Examination
Tier-I contains four sections:

- Quantitative Aptitude

Each section carries 25 questions and 50 marks, while 0.50 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
Tier-II Examination
